2 Turuva – Approaching the finishing post turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with the runner to the outside. Stewards spoke to trainer B Giltinan regarding the greyhound’s performance. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR123 – Marring – First Offence. The greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing at the Q1 Lakeside for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hip support. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 21 days. Stewards spoke to trainer representative A Graham regarding the greyhound’s performance. After considering all available evidence stewards invoked GAR125 – Failing to Pursue by reason of injury. 21 days stand down from racing and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.
