Race 1 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE MAIDEN 457m

 

7. Chardonnay Girl – Slow to begin, trailed the field for the entire event being uncompetitive. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer D Makowiecki the regarding the greyhound’s poor performance. After hearing submissions from Mr Makowiecki, Stewards deemed the performance to be unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 129, Chardonnay Girl must successfully perform a satisfactory steward’s trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

 

 

Race 2 - LADBROKES MATES MODE POTS MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 457m

 

8. Dad’s Vision – Checked into the 1st turn, bumped heavily by another runner through the 1st turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside stopper and offside pin. A 14 day stand down was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 3 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 6 352m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 4 - LADBROKES SMR IN MULTIS GRADE 6 (1) 390m

 

4. Enter Warp Speed – Late scratching at 1.31pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the veterinary official found the greyhound to have an injury to its nearside fore foot during kennelling. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 6 (2) 390m

 

2. Speed Of Sound – Entering the home straight marred the runner to its outside on several occasions. Stewards spoke to trainer C Graham regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay, and hearing the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Speed Of Sound was in breach of GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 2nd offence under this rule Speed Of Sound was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the successful completion of one satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

9. Spring Freya – Approaching the 1st turn was crowded for room and checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside achilles tendon. A 90 day stand down was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 6 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 6 457m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 7 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE GRADE 5 (1) 457m

 

2. Hilltop Prince - Entering the home straight marred the runner to its inside. Stewards spoke to trainer C Graham regarding the greyhound’s racing actions at that stage of the event. After  reviewing the video replay and hearing the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Hilltop Prince did make muzzle contact with the greyhound to its inside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 3rd offence under this rule, Hilltop Prince was suspended from racing at all tracks for three months and until the successful completion of two satisfactory steward’s trials prior to racing next.

 

 

 

Race 8 - GORSKI HARDOX TOUGH TIPPERS 1-5 WINS FINAL 1-5 WINS 457m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 9 - ONE TURN RACING @ THE Q GRADE 5 (2) 457m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 10 - GORSKI ENGINEERING GRADE 5 (3) 457m

 

2. Lucky Fireball – Shortly after the start was tightened and inconvenienced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside shoulder. A 7 day stand down was imposed.
