3 Agile Boy – Shifted inwards shortly after the start and contacted the running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 3 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 390m

Race 6 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MA5 390m

 

5 Rapid On Fire – Contacted by another runner in the catching pen after the race had concluded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside shoulder and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

8 Weblec Spark – Showed signs of aggression in the catching pen after the race had concluded. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Gary Keep and ordered that for future race starts, the greyhound must wear an aggression muzzle pursuant to GAR131(1)(a).

Race 11 – LADBROKES ODDS SURGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 390m

 

3 Cool Hand Rio – Dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn and fell taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound had sustained fractures to its nearside radius, ulna and tibia. Due to the catastrophic nature of these injuries, the greyhound was euthanised on humane grounds.
