Race 2 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE GRADE 6 (2) 457m

 

2 Don’t Cry Mama - Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainer Lindsay Joyce the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

 

4 Deal ‘Em High – Checked entering the home turn, severely checked entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 3 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 (1) 457m

Race 4 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 (1) 550m

 

8 Backcreek Benny – Checked entering the home turn, checked on the home turn, bumped entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside shoulder injury the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 5 - LADBROKES MATES MODE POTS GRADE 5 (2) 550m

 

1 Daintree Chief - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.

 

 

Race 6 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MIXED 4/5 457m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 7 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MIXED 4/5 642m

 

4 Fearless Freak – Checked on the first turn, gave ground in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed small abrasions to the offside hind leg, no stand down time was issued.

 

 

Race 8 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5/6 GRADE FINAL MIXED 5/6 550m

3 Chunky Monkey – Checked approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 10 - LADBROKES PUNTER ASSIST GRADE 5 (1) 457m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 11 – LADBROKES FAST PAYOUTS GRADE 5 (2) 457m

 

7 Teo Meo – Checked soon after the start, gave ground on the home turn and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hip injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

 

Race 12 - LADBROKES SRM IN MULTIS MA5 457m

 

3 Hara’s Buddy – Performed below market expectations. Slow to begin, checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have a slow recovery, no stand down time was issued.

Stewards spoke to trainer Jemma Daley regarding the greyhound’s performance Ms Daley stated the greyhound did have a hard trial earlier in the week, but it had recovered well and although she expected the greyhound to do well in todays event the greyhound was racing over further distance than its most recent starts and she believes it should benefit from the run. Stewards noted the submissions.
