Race 1 - LADBROKES SRM IN MULTIS MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 457m

7 Stressful Art – Turned its head inwards for several strides shortly after the start.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Steward’s spoke to trainer M.Edwards regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to pursue – 28 days stand down at Q1 Lakeside and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 2 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 457m

1 Ayrton Herrera – Made contact with the rail entering the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

8 Define Empress – Commenced to give ground through the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
