A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side shoulder and was subsequently stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainers representative K Elson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury – 7 day stand down at Q1 Lakeside and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
