Race 1 - LADBROKES IPSWICH FUTURITY (G3) HEAT 1 OPEN 457m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 2 - LADBROKES IPSWICH FUTURITY (G3) HEAT 2 OPEN 457m

 

7. Rose Of Alabama – Into the 1st turn appeared awkward in its action and commenced to weaken from that point of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside pin. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 14 days.

 

 

 

Race 3 - LADBROKES IPSWICH FUTURITY (G3) HEAT 3 OPEN 457m

 

4. Wildash Jane – Entering the home straight eased for several strides deviating its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside groin . A 14 day stand down was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer R Cooke regarding the greyhound’s racing actions in the home straight of the event. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury. Wildash Jane was stood down from racing for 14 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

 

Race 4 - LADBROKES IPSWICH FUTURITY (G3) HEAT 4 OPEN 457m

 

8. Memory Of Mum – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside back muscle. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 21 days.

 

 

 

Race 5 - LADBROKES IPSWICH FUTURITY (G3) HEAT 5 OPEN 457m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 6 - LADBROKES IPSWICH DERBY (G3) HEAT 1 OPEN 457m

 

6. Secret Story – Through the 1st turn improved onto heels and was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities

 

7. Chunky Monkey – Through the 1st turn was tightened between runners, dragged down and fell failing to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound had sustained fractures to its nearside radius and ulna. Due to the catastrophic nature of the injury the greyhound was euthanised on humane grounds.

3. High Five Lad – Near the finish displayed signs of cramping and in the catching pen. underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 130(a) (Cramp) the greyhound must perform a satisfactory steward’s trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

4. Say When Glen – Into the 1st turn put in an awkward stride and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed apparent abnormalities
