1 Mary Poppins – Turned its head outwards leaving the boxes taking it attention away from the lure. Made contact with the rail on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside pin injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Drew Pearce regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 3rd offence – 3 months stand down at all tracks and must complete 2 satisfactory steward’s trials prior to racing next.
4 Bones – Checked on the home turn then gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side pin injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
7 War Hunter – Checked and became unbalanced on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
