5 Hara’s Walsh – Through the back straight contacted the running rail. Through the home turn turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with the runner to the outside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative T Neal regarding the greyhounds’ actions. After considering all available evidence steward’s invoked GAR123 Marring – First Offence – 28 days stand down at Q1 Lakeside and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

 

6 Confetti Dan – Through the home turn contacted the running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

1 Mulligrub – Entering the home turn was checked and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

 

7 Hara’s Jackson – Entering the home turn was severely checked off heels. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

 

8 Installer – Entering the home turn was severely checked off heels. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

Race 10 - THE Q - ENGINEERED BY STP CONSULTANTS 5TH GRADE HEAT 7 GRADE 5 390m

 

1 Goldstar Monaro – Entering the home turn was checked. Through the home straight gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hindleg back muscle injury. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 21 days.

 

3 Maywyn Peter – Entering the home turn was checked. Exiting the home turn turned its head outwards to the outside runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside foreleg pin. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative A Watts regarding the greyhounds’ actions. After considering all available evidence Steward’s invoked GAR125 – Failing to Pursue by reason of Injury – 10 days stand down from all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.
