General: Stewards spoke to trainer Bruce Mackie, after identifying that all 3 of the greyhounds in his trainer ship had been clipped and had the tail hair removed. Mr Mackie entered a plea of guilty and was reprimanded in respect of a charge issued pursuant to GAR 156 i(ii) removing, or allowing to be removed, hair from a majority of a greyhound, or any part of the tail of a greyhound, and preventing the collection of a sample will amount to a breach of this rule unless a person has obtained the permission of the Stewards. |

4 Racketeering – Shifted out and bumped with another runner on several occasions in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Les Lewis regarding the greyhound’s actions in the home straight. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.
7 Magical Dee – Severely checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
8 Oliver Stubby – Severley checked and fell on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
