8 Aston Athol – Entering the turn out of the back straight was checked and ran wide. Through the turn out of the back straight and through the home straight gave ground and appeared awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed general soreness. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 5 days.
Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainer N Tonks that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

7 Yapping Aces – Through the turn out of the back straight was dragged down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury. |
