The “all clear “ was delayed when it was discovered that there may be an issue with the starting boxes. Upon review by the stewards of the film it became apparent that the starting gate failed to fully release to the standard horizontal position. Stewards were of the opinion that the chances of all the greyhounds entered were materially affected as they were not afforded the opportunity to exit the starting boxes free from impediments therefore declared the event a “No Race” acting under Gar 110 (2)(a). All greyhounds were inspected by the veterinary post-race.
4 I’m Sandwiches Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was discovered to have suffered from an abrasion to the head and was stood down for 3 days.
