1. Rupesh – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside hind foot. A 5 day stand down was imposed. |

3. Rio Ragner – In the home straight turned its head inwards and momentarily eased. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside hip support, a 10 day stand down was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer J Schmidt regarding the greyhound’s racing manners for that stage of the event. After reviewing the video replay and hearing submissions from Mr Schmidt, stewards deemed Rio Ragner to be in breach GAR 125 Failing to Pursue by reason of injury. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Rio Ragner was suspended from racing at the Q1 lakeside for 10 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
