Race 2 LADBROKES BIG BETS COPY NOW MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 352m 

 

1. Backflip Boy – Rounding the home turn momentarily eased taking its attention away the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainers representative C Goodwin regarding the greyhound’s actions for that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay, and hearing the submissions from Ms Goodwin, stewards deemed Backflip Boy to be in breach of GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Backflip Boy was suspended from racing at all tracks until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial in conjunction with a 28-day suspension at the Q1 Lakeside as this was where the offence occurred.

 

6. Gothic Parade – Into the 1st turn put in an awkward stride taking no real competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin. A 14 day stand down was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 3 ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 352m 

 

1. Benched – Through the 1st turn commenced to weaken. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hip. A 10 day stand down was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 4 THE LIDS FLY HOSTED POTS 2-3 WINS (1) 352m 

 

2. Bowl Cut Jean – Through the 1st turn was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 5 ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS 2-3 WINS (2) 352m

 

4. Goldstar Chanel - Through the 1st turn was severely checked a short distance later made heavy contact with running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

6. Fuseless Flynn - Into the 1st turn was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside pin. A 7 day stand down was imposed.

3. Majestic One - Into the 1st turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 13 IPSWICH TRIBUNE GRADE 5 (2) 352m 

 

1. Tuta Interval – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside fore dew claw. A 7 day stand down was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 14 LADBROKES FAST PAYOUTS GRADE 5 (3) 352m

 

3. Marina Bay Shortly after the start looked awkward in its action appearing injured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside fore foot toe. A 60 day stand down was imposed. Trainer W Spann was advised the greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next.
