1. Backflip Boy – Rounding the home turn momentarily eased taking its attention away the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainers representative C Goodwin regarding the greyhound’s actions for that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay, and hearing the submissions from Ms Goodwin, stewards deemed Backflip Boy to be in breach of GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Backflip Boy was suspended from racing at all tracks until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial in conjunction with a 28-day suspension at the Q1 Lakeside as this was where the offence occurred. |
