Race 1 - THE LIDS FLY HOSTED POTS MAIDEN 457m

 

3 Black Ghee – Checked soon after the start, made contact with the rail in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side front leg laceration, the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days.

 

6 Confidential Gal – Checked soon after the start, checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 2 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 6 (1) 352m

 

4 Don’t Damn Me – Bumped and taken wide by another runner entering the home straight then severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

5 Red Hot TwistProved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainers representative Christine Goodwin that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

 

6 Goldstar Vogue – Checked on the home turn. Turned its head outwards and shifted out taking its attention away from the lure causing interference to another runner entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainers representative Bonnie Evans regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 3rd offence – 3 months stand down at all tracks and must complete 2 satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

3 She’s Dynamite – Checked on the home turn. Fell in the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

7 Fun Day – Severely checked and fell entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside shoulder injury and back soreness, the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.
