A post-race veterinary examination revealed near side hip bruising, the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days. Steward’s spoke to trainers representative Stephen Evans regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
7 Logistical – Severely checked on the home turn and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hock injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
8 Maggie’s Song – Severely checked and fell on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
