General: During the declaration of final fields for Race 2 at the Q1 Lakeside meeting, Stewards were advised of multiple scratching’s in the event. Prior to the publication of final fields, Racing Queensland’s Grading Department identified an error in the preliminary allocation of reserves for the race. Upon detection, the matter was promptly reviewed, and the reserve positions were corrected to ensure alignment with the applicable grading processes.
Following the correction, final fields were released reflecting the amended reserve allocation. A detailed report outlining the circumstances and processes associated with this matter was subsequently provided to the QRIC Chief Steward. Having considered the information, the Chief Steward is satisfied that the corrective action taken was appropriate and necessary to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the final field.
