General: Trainer Graham Hall was reminded of his obligations in relation to rule:

GAR 122 Obligation to report a matter affecting performance or health or welfare

(1) The trainer or person in charge of a greyhound must inform the Stewards as soon as practicable about anything that might have affected the running or health or welfare of a greyhound in an Event. This must be done whether the issue becomes known either on or off the racecourse.

Race 1 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 390m

 

6 Hara’s Clegane – Checked on the home turn and made contact with the rail, checked entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 2 - THE LIDS FLY ON LADBROKES LIVE CHANNELS MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 390m

 

5 Creeping Colby – Severely checked in the back straight, checked on the home turn, checked entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 3 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 (1) 390m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

 

Race 4 - LADBROKES BIG BETS COPY NOW 2-3 WINS (1) 390m

3 Juan Bandito – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an offside wrist injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 6 - ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS 2-3 WINS (3) 390m

 

1 Regal Malt - Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed near side hind foot split webbing, the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

 

Race 7 - THE LIDS FLY HOSTED POTS GRADE 4 390m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

 

Race 8 - WWW.THEQ.AU PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 390m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

 

Race 9 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE FFA 390m

 

3 Aston Renminbi – Turned it head outwards towards another runner taking its attention away from the lure entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside front leg spike wound, the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

Steward’s spoke to trainer’s representative Kym Watson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury – 5 days stand down and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

Race 10 - THE Q - ENGINEERED BY STP CONSULTANTS MA5 390m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

 

Race 11 - BRISBANE CUP 11 JULY GRADE 5 (2) 390m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

 

Race 12 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 (3) 390mm

 

4 Dish Liquor - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.

 

5 Lady Dreamer - Severely checked in the back straight, became unbalanced on the home turn, gave ground and trailed the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside shoulder injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

6 Goldstar Sally - Stewards spoke to trainers representative Maddie Houtos regarding the improved performance of greyhound Miss Houtos stated that they have recently changed the greyhounds work routine and have been working the greyhound more regularly on the properties straight track, Miss Houtos further stated that although the greyhound had been working well on the straight track they did not expect the greyhound to race as well as it did in todays event and the connections did not support the greyhound. Stewards noted the explanation.

 

8 Foxy Fawn – Checked in the back straight, turned it head outwards making contact with another runner on a number of occasions in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Ron Brook regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Q1 Lakeside and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
