2 Smooth Panther – Checked entering the home turn, marred by another runner and severely checked on the home turn, marred by another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
5 Borneo Kawaii – Turned it head outwards making contact with another runner in the back straight, on the home turn and in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Jason Schmidt regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 2nd offence – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
8 Dreamer – Faltered in its action in the back straight and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside pin injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

Stewards spoke to trainer Reg Hazelgrove regarding the greyhound’s actions entering the home straight. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.
