General: Due to a mechanical complication with the starting boxes Race 5 was delayed allowing track staff ample time to resolve the issue.

Race 1 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN 457m

 

7 Black Ghee – Approaching the winning post turned its head outwards to the outside runner and made muzzle contact. Steward’s spoke to trainer P Young regarding the greyhounds actions. After considering all available evidence stewards invoked GAR123 Marring – First Offence. The greyhound was stood down from racing for 28 days at the Q1 Lakeside and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

1 Local Legend – Through the home turn appeared awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hip support. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 7 days.

5 Gypsy’s Girl – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared fit to race.

 

Race 7 – THE LIDS FLY HOSTED POTS 1-5 WINS HEAT 2 1-5 WINS 457m

 

5 Daytona Sunset – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside pin muscle. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 5 days.

Race 9 – INDEPENDENT LIQUOR GROUP MIXED 4/5 457m

 

8 Clean Cut – Through the home turn gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindleg back muscle. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 60 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

8 Disco Ethics – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindleg toe. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 5 days.
