Race 2 – THE LIDS FLY HOSTED POTS MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 352m

 

1 Positive Current – Turned its head outwards in the direction of another runner rounding the home turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Sidney Goodwin regarding the greyhound’s racing manners rounding the home turn. After reviewing the footage and hearing Mr Goodwin’s submissions, Stewards invoked GAR124 Failing to Pursue (1st offence) and stood down Positive Current for 28 days at Q1 Lakeside plus the completion of a satisfactory trial.

 

Race 3 – ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 352m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 4 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN HEAT 4 MAIDEN 352m

6 Daintree Blinder – Severely checked shortly after the start and lost considerable ground, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hock and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 90 days. Daintree Blinder must complete a solo trial prior to any future nomination being accepted.

3 Golden Legs – Raced from the home turn to the finishing line with its racing rug stuck in another runner’s muzzle.

 

5 Professor Nessa – Raced from the home turn to the finishing line with another runner’s racing rug caught in its muzzle.

 

Race 10 – ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS MA5 (1) 352m

 

6 Tiny But Potent – Faltered in its action rounding the first turn and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the off-hind back muscle and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days. Tiny But Potent must complete a solo trial prior to any future nomination being accepted.

 

Race 11 – INDEPENDENT LIQUOR GROUP MA5 (2) 352m

 

5 Lakoda Lacey – Checked shortly after the start. Faltered in its action shortly afterwards losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near-hind back muscle and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days. Lakoda Lacey must complete a solo trial prior to any future nomination being accepted.

 

Race 12 – GORSKI ENGINEERING MIXED 4/5 352m

 

7 Amren – Checked off heels rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near-hind toe and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.
