6. Tiger Guru – Entering the home straight was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

7. Pay The Piper – Through the 1st turn momentarily eased turning its head outwards towards the runner on its outside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its stomach, a 14 day stand down was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative A Donnelly regarding the greyhound’s racing actions through the 1st turn. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Failing to pursue by reason of injury. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Pay The Piper was suspended from racing at Q1 Lakeside for 14 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial of the injury period has lapsed. |
