8 Fiery Meg Visibly eased over the final stages of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to T Wiegand, the handler of fiery Meg regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment Fiery Meg was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Q1 Lakeside and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
