1 Positive Current – Turned its head outwards in the direction of another runner leaving the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Sidney Goodwin regarding the greyhound’s racing manners leaving the first turn. After reviewing the footage and hearing Mr Goodwin’s submissions, Stewards invoked GAR124 Failing to Pursue (2nd offence) and stood down Positive Current for 28 days at all tracks plus the completion of a satisfactory trial. |

8 Zabdon Blondie – Proved difficult to load into the boxes. Stewards ordered the greyhound must be boxed first in future events pursuant to GAR 106(2)(a). Faltered in its action approaching the first turn taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near-hind back muscle and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 60 days. The greyhound must trial prior to any nomination being accepted. |
