5 Midnight Flyer – Checked soon after the start, gave ground on the home turn and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside groin injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

1 Pay The Piper – Eased and turned it head on a number of occasions in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer’s representative Katie Elson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Q1 Lakeside and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
3 Signing Papers – Severely checked on the home turn, faltered in its action entering the home straight and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side shoulder injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.

5 Crimson Warrior - Stewards spoke to trainer Daniel Lee regarding the improved performance of the greyhound. Mr Lee stated the greyhound has recently returned to racing after having significant time off, he further stated that although the greyhound had been trialling good and he expected the greyhound to run well today the win was unexpected and he did not support the runner in wagering in today’s event, Stewards noted the submissions.
