Race Meeting Stewards’ Report

Ladbrokes Q1 Lakeside

Date: 22nd October 2026

Track: Good

Weather: Showers/ Rain

Stewards: S Barr, J Philp, P Sawtell

General: Trainer Stephen Neary was reminded of his obligations regarding the Racing Queensland dress requirements.

Stewards conducted regular track inspections throughout the meeting and deemed the track suitable for racing.

After the running of race 10 Stewards noted some areas of concern on the home turn, subsequently race 11 was delayed one time slot to afford track staff time to complete remedial work. After reinspecting the track, it was determined that the track had further deteriorated and with heavy rain still continuing track staff advised they could not improve the track condition any further, therefore race 11 was abandoned at 10.36pm.
