Stewards delayed the All Clear to review the race replay in relation to the distance of the lure during the running of this event. Passing the first hundred meters the lure was observed to surge ahead of the lead runner after being very close (within 1-2 meters). After reviewing all relevant footage Stewards were of the opinion that Let Jill Rip the lead runner during that stage of the race was materially affected by that movement of the lure, noting its sudden loss of ground during the instant. Subsequently, acting under the provisions of GAR 109 Stewards declared Race 10 a “No Race”.
GAR 109 Lure – distance from leading greyhound (3) If the Stewards are of the opinion that the outcome of an Event has been affected by the positioning of the lure, they may declare the Event to be a No Race.
