5 Zabdon Is Back – Shifted in and bumped with another runner soon after the start. Approaching the 200m turned its head outwards and shifted out taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Barry Kitchener regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Q Straight track and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

1 Sivo Banner – Bumped soon after the start. Turned its head outward approaching the 200m, shifted out and marred another runner approaching the 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side hip support injury the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Lindsay Joyce regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Q Straight track and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
