6. My Boy Twist - Late scratching at 6:11pm under the provisions of GAR 86(1) not being presented the greyhound has been given no stand down. Sidney Goodwin presented substantive evidence to Stewards and after considering all available evidence no charge was handed down.
7. Luxury Jewel – Shortly after the start turned its head inwards towards the inside runner. At approximately the 250 metres turned its head inwards towards the inside runner. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed a laceration to its near hind-leg and was stood down from racing for 3 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Marie Westwood regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR124 Failing to pursue – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
