General: Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into an incident in the wash bay with licenced trainer Richard Perry and licenced attendant Steven Swift.

Race 1 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE MAIDEN 350m

Race 2 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN 350m

 

1 My Bug – Turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Karen Tribe regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Q Straight track and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

3 Typhoon Vinnie – Bumped soon after the start, checked at approximately 100m then faltered in its action and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hind leg injury the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 3 - LADBROKES PUNTER ASSIST MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 350m

Race 4 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE GRADE 6 (1) 350m

Race 7 - LADBROKES MATES MODE POTS 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 350m

 

6 Snow Cone – Bumped soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

Race 8 - LADBROKES SRM IN MULTIS 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 350m

 

5 Let’s Go Frosty – Performed below market expectations. Checked soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Stewards spoke to trainer John Dart regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr Dart stated that the greyhound has performed well in in it recent starts therefore he did expect the greyhound to perform well again today and although he was disappointed with the greyhound run, he did believed the interference at the start of the event may have contributed to its performance. Mr Dart further stated that he did support the greyhound in today’s event. Stewards noted the submissions.
