Race 1 - INDEPENDENT LIQUOR GROUP MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 350m

 

4 Heat Seeker – Approximately 200m through the event gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside back muscle. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 14 days.

 

Race 2 - LADBROKES TOP 2/3/4 BETTING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 350m

 

1 New Day – Shortly after the start turned its head outwards towards the outside runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury. Stewards spoke to trainer representative F Guymer regarding the greyhounds actions. After considering all available evidence stewards invoked GAR124 Failing to Pursue (1st Offence) – 28 days at the Q Straight and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

 

5 Raffaela – Shortly after the start was checked. Gave ground through the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

Race 9 - LABROKES BET TICKER MIXED 3/4 350m

 

2 Wildash Merv – Shortly after the start was checked and dragged down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside back muscle. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

 

Race 10 - KILLARNEY HOTEL GRADE 5 (1) 350m

Race 11 – IPSWICH TRIBUNE GRADE 5 (2) 350m

 

3 Turbo Tully – Late scratching at 9:03am pursuant to GAR 76(7) due to the greyhound not being presented. Trainer T Short was fined $200 under the provisions of GAR 76(7) in that they scratched Turbo Tully from today’s event for an unacceptable reason.
