5 Flat Chat Jack – Took its attention away from the lure on numerous occasions during the event. Shifted out and made muzzle contact with the outside runner at approximately the 200m mark. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative A.King regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring – 28 days stand down at Q Straight and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
