2 Howdy Doody – Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Garry Gilbert regarding the greyhound’s performance, Mr Gilbert stated that although he was disappointed with the greyhounds performance he doesn’t believe the greyhound is best suited to the straight track, he also stated that the greyhound was more stirred up than usual walking to the boxes and didn’t begin as well as it had in previous starts. Stewards noted the submissions.
