4 Chad’s Girl – Approximately midway through the event shifted out and turned its head towards the outside runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury. Steward’s spoke to trainer C Taylor regarding the greyhounds’ actions. After considering all available evidence, steward’s invoked GAR124 – Failing to Pursue (1st Offence). The greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 28 days at the Q Straight and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing. |
