Race 1 - LADBROKES RACING EXTRAS IN MULTI MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 350m |

6 Boat Rider – Slow to begin. Weakened in the concluding stages of the event to finish last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. When questioned over today’s performance, trainer Jeanette Cauchi advised Stewards that the greyhound is having only its second race start today and only trialled once at the track. Mrs Cauchi also stated that the greyhound will be better suited to racing at Capalaba. Stewards noted the explanation. |

8 Elite Caviar – Shortened stride and appeared awkward in its action approaching the finishing line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside pin muscle and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. Taking into consideration the veterinary findings imposed by the on-course veterinarian, Stewards took no further action. Trainer Ron Brook was advised that the greyhound will be monitored closely in future race starts. |

7 Strong Boy – Weakened in the concluding stages of the event when appeared to have sustained an injury. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.
8 Finley Bale – Finished the race tailed off a distant last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration on the near=hind foot and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days. Finley Bale will require to solo trial prior to any future nomination being accepted. Trainer Mr Ashley Bock advised Stewards that it was his intention to retire the greyhound after today’s race.
