2 French Fries – Checked on numerous occasions shortly after the start.  Took an awkward stride and commenced to give ground appearing injured at approximately the 200m mark.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.

Race 6 - THE LIDS FLY ON LADBROKES LIVE CHANNELS GRADE 6 (2) 300m

Race 7 - LADBROKES BIG BETS COPY NOW PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 300m

 

2 Head West – Was found to be lame in the catching pen.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

Race 8 - GORSKI SEMI TIPPERS GRADE 5 (1) 300m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 9 - THE IPSWICH TRIBUNE GRADE 5 (2) 300m

 

9 You Tell Her - Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainer M.Westwood that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

 

Race 10 - GORSKI ENGINEERING GRADE 5 (3) 300m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 11 - GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 (4) 300m

 

3 Flash Corvette – Appeared awkward in its action over the concluding stages of the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

Race 12 - WWW.THEQ.AU GRADE 5 (5) 300m

 

2 Spicy Viking - Late scratching at 5:49pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have an injury during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 13 - LADBROKES BACK BOX 1 & 8 COMBINED GRADE 5 (6) 300m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 14 - GORSKI TRUCK & TRAILER GRADE 5 (7) 300m

 

6 Goldstar Summer – Shifted out, turned its head to the runner on the outside and made muzzle contact on multiple occasions during the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer representative M.Houtos regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring – 28 days stand down at Q Straight and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
