8 Black Is Back – Bumped with another runner soon after the start. Turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure approaching the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Lawrence Topping regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Q Straight and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
