2. Never Giving Up – Late scratching at 11.12am due to non–arrival GAR 86(1). Trainer M Geraghty informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on route to the track. Stewards advised Mr Geraghty that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. |

2. Steel Caress – Shortly after the start was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hind leg. A 7 day stand down was imposed. |

|
|
8. Whoop That Trick – At approximately the 200m shifted out abruptly taking its attention away from the lure as a result collided with another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer C Jordan regarding the greyhound’s actions for that stage of the event. After hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay, and taking submissions from Mr Jordan, stewards deemed Whoop That Trick to be in breach of GAR 124 failing to pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 2nd offence under this rule, Whoop That Trick was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
