2 Aces Up Here – Turned its head outwards in the direction of another runner approaching the finishing line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hip support and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Chris Supple regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the concluding stages of the event. After reviewing the footage and hearing Mr Supple’s submissions, Stewards invoked GAR125 Failing to Pursue with Injury (1st offence) and stood down Aces Up Here for 10 days at all tracks plus the completion of a satisfactory trial. |
