2 Places To Go – Approaching the winning post shifted outwards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist and nearside back muscle. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 21 days. Stewards spoke to trainer G Pearce regarding the greyhounds’ actions. After considering all available evidence and the nature of the injury, Stewards decided to give the greyhound the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule. |

1 Shine Like Gold – Shortly after the start shifted outwards to the outside runner and made muzzle contact. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside shoulder. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer G Pearce regarding the greyhounds actions. After considering all available evidence stewards invoked GAR123 Marring (1st Offence) – 28 day stand down from racing and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.
6 Double Charge – Turned in boxes. Stewards spoke to trainer representative K Hansen regarding the greyhounds actions. After considering all available evidence stewards invoked GAR106. The greyhound subsequently must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing. |
