1 Maid In Space (favourite) – bumped shortly after the start and lost ground to tail the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right wrist sprain with a 10 day stand down period imposed. Kennel representative Tim Britton commented that the greyhound, although checked early, should have been stronger to be competitive with the field. Mr Britton was advised to provide the outcome of any follow-up examination in the coming days. |

1 Champagne Mia – bumped approaching the turn out of the front straight and lost ground. Bumped when rounding the turn into the back straight and lost ground to tail the field through the later stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an right hip injury with a 10 day stand down period imposed. |

2 Billie Cash Kid – late scratching at 11:59am when trainer Chris Brydon reported the greyhound to be ill. He was advised the greyhound was stood down for a period of 10 days. A veterinary certificate has already been provided. |

Race 8 - LADBROKES MATES MODE GRADE 5 (2) 520m |

4 Little Lies – late scratching at 03:48pm when trainer Michael McGrath reported the greyhound to be ill. He was advised the greyhound was stood down for a period of 10 days and a veterinary certificate must be provided prior to its next start.
2 Hara’s Kitana – began slowly. Faltered approaching the turn out of the front straight and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. When questioned on the performance, kennel representative Tarquin Neal stated the greyhound has jumped away well and lead at all its starts and believed that after beginning poorly today the greyhound had to navigate the first turn amongst a field for the first time. Mr Neal further added the greyhounds limited experience and first time racing on this track contributed to its below market expectations performance, however did expect the greyhound to improve. Stewards noted his comments. |
