General: During the running of Race 8 Miss Raven Rose (number 6) collided with another runner and sustained several injuries. As a result, it ran back counter to the direction of racing. Due to the presence of staff on the track attempting to catch the greyhound stewards ordered the lure driver to pull up the lure prior to the completion of the race. Subsequently Race 8 was declared a “No Race”.

Race 5 - GORSKI HARDOX TOUGH TIPPERS GRADE 6 520m

 

1 Barry The Boss Collided with several runners entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.  

 

5 Goldstar Ghost Turned its head to the outside away from the lure, shifted out and made muzzle contact with the runner to its outside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.   

 

Stewards spoke to R Evans, the trainer of Goldstar Ghost regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 marring Goldstar Ghost was found in breach and suspended for 28 days at Q2 and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127, before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

 

Race 6 - GORSKI ENGINEERING MA5 520m

 

2 Hara’s Honda Checked in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a left shoulder injury; 7 days stand down from racing.

 

Race 7 - LADBROKES SAME GAME MULTI GRADE 5 600m

 

5 Hara’s Indiana Late scratching GAR 76(2) illness 10 days.

 

Race 8 - IPSWICH TRIBUNE 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 52m

6 Miss Raven Rose Severely checked entering the first turn. Took no further competitive part in the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a dislocated toe and split webbing; 21 days stand down from racing.  

 

9 RedBack Jack Struck the lure carriage. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a head laceration; 10 days stand down from racing.

 

Race 9 - THE Q - ENGINEERED BY STP CONSULTANTS MIXED 4/5 520m

Race 10 - SEN TRACK NMW 520m

 

1 Cheesy Easy A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the off-hind leg; 3 days stand down from racing.
