Race 1 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (1) 710m

Race 2 -BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 (2) 710m  

 

Shine A Light – late scratching at 05:52pm by order of stewards on vets advice during kennelling when the greyhound was found to have swelling in the right elbow. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

 

Pozzi Tonozzi – faltered when rounding the turn out of the back straight on the second occasion and continued to lose ground for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed injuries to the right chest muscle and right back muscle, resulting in a 10 day stand down period being imposed. Stewards interviewed kennel representative Bailey Dargusch regarding the racing manners of Pozzi Tonozzi on the turn out of the back straight and the remainder of the event. After reviewing all available replay angles, evidence from Mr Dargusch and from their own observations, Stewards were not comfortably satisfied to the requisite standard that Pozzi Tonozzi had offended under any rule and gave it the benefit of doubt. Mr Dargusch advised the greyhound would be spelled and once recovered from its injuries would be put through proper work to get back to suitable racing.

 

Race 3 - ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS OPEN 710m

Race 4 - ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS OPEN 710m

 

Zipping Korda – severely checked on the turn into the back straight, became unbalanced and then fell when colliding with Goldstar Tyson, with Zipping Korda taking further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right wrist, with a 7 day stand down period imposed.

 

Race 5 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE GRADE 5 600m

 

Daysea’s Shelly – faltered when leaving the turn out of the front straight on the first occasion, lost considerable ground and remained tailed off for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right front flexor tendon, with a 28 day stand down period imposed. Kennel representative Rob Dacey was advised the greyhound must trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to nominating.

 

Race 6 - LADBROKES MATES MODE POTS MIXED 4/5 520m

 

Prim and Precise – faltered shortly after the winning post at the end of the event, lost ground and then was galloped on by Bluey Is Boujee causing Prim and Precise to fall. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right hock, with a 90 day stand down period imposed. Kennel representative Jedda Cutlack was advised the greyhound must trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to nominating.

 

Teresita – underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the kennel representative’s request, which found a chest muscle injury with a 7 day stand down period imposed.

 

Comical Cyndie – underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the kennel representative’s request, which revealed a left front flexor tendon strain, with a 14 day stand down period imposed.

 

Race 7 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE MIXED 3/4 520m

 

No reportable incidents.

 

Race 8 - MOLLY CAMPBELL SILVER DOLLARS (L) FINAL OPEN 520m

 

Chad’s Girl – severely checked and lost considerable ground when leaving the front straight, remaining tailed off for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

Wildash Jane – fell in the catching. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

Greener Pastures – raced tight with Wildash Jane when rounding the home turn. Stewards interviewed kennel representative Jedda Cutlack regarding the racing manners of Greener Pastures. After reviewing all available replay angles, evidence provide by Ms Cutlack, and on their own observations, Stewards were not comfortably satisfied to the requisite standard that Greener Pastures had offended under any rule and gave it the benefit of doubt.

 

Race 9 - THE Q - ENGINEERED BY STP CONSULTANTS GRADE 5 (2) 520m
