General: Stewards inspected the track after the running of Race 2 due to heavy downpour of rain. After inspecting the track, Stewards deemed the surface safe to continue racing.
After the running of Race 6, Stewards were alerted to an issue with the lure cable. Stewards elected to go back one race timeslot to allow the issue to be rectified. After the issue had been rectified, Stewards were forced to go back another two race timeslots due to lightning and storm activity in the area. With continual heavy downfall and lightning in the area, Stewards abandoned races 7-10 at 8:27pm for the safety of all animals and participants. |

1 Starfire Tears – (Beaten favourite) Marginally slow to begin. Checked off heels rounding the first turn. Bumped several times with another runner rounding the turn off the front straight and lost forward momentum. |
