Race 1 -INDEPENDENT LIQUOR GROUP MAIDEN 520m  

 

6 Empire Patrol – Contacted the running rail rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 2 - THE LIDS FLY HOSTED POTS MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 520m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 3 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS 0-3 WINS (1) 600m

 

8 Zipping Bogart – Turned its head outwards approaching the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Chris Jordan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the concluding stages of the race. After reviewing the video footage and hearing Mr Jordan’s submissions, Stewards involved GAR124 Failing to Pursue (1st offence) and stood down Zipping Bogart for 28 days at the Q2 Parklands track plus the completion of a satisfactory trial.

 

Race 4 - LABROKES BET TICKER 0-3 WINS (2) 600m

 

6 Henry Locksmith – Weakened in the back straight and finished tailed off last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside flexor tendon and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 5 - INDEPENDENT LIQUOR GROUP MA5 520m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 6 - GORSKI ENGINEERING GRADE 5 520m

 

2 Oliver Go – Severely checked rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hamstrings and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

Race 7 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 520m

 

4 Alacrity Dave – Has boxed satisfactorily for its last 3 starts. Therefore, Stewards have lifted the Box First embargo that was placed on the greyhound’s gear sheet.

 

Race 8 - IPSWICH TRIBUNE 5PW 520m

 

1 Whispering Abbey – Commenced to weaken in the back straight and finished the raced tailed off last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hip support and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.

 

8 Slay All Day – Dragged down by another runner rounding the turn off the back straight and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside back muscle and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

Race 9 - KILKIVAN HOTEL GRADE 5 600m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.
