3.Goldstar Darcy – Rounding the home turn marred another runner. Stewards spoke to trainer S Evans regarding the greyhound’s racing manners for that stage of the event. After hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed Goldstar Darcy did make head contact with the greyhound to its outside on therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Goldstar Darcy was suspended from racing at the Q2 Parklands for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

6.Simulate – Rounding the home turn forced another runner wider on the track deviating its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock, A 14 day stand down was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer T Tzouvelis regarding the greyhound’s racing actions for that part of the event. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to purse by reason of injury. Simulate was stood down from racing for 14 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
