2 Tommy Tango – Turned its head outwards towards another runner taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Steward’s spoke to trainers representative Mr T Britton regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Q2 Parklands and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next
4 Naughty Brooke – Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner to its outside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Steward’s spoke to trainer M Edwards regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Marring (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Q2 Parklands and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next 7 Sharri - A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near hind toe and was subsequently stood down for 60 days. Further, the greyhound will be required to complete an injury trial prior to next racing. |
