3 Borneo Celebre – Made contact with the rail entering the first turn, gave ground in the back straight and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
6 Excessive Wheels – Checked on the first turn. Turned its head outwards towards another runner taking its attention away from the lure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Pat Mulrine regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Q2 Parklands and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
