General: Race 6 was delayed due to lighting in the area. Race times were amended as follows: R6 7.32pm, R7 7.48pm, R8 8.03pm, R9 8.18pm.

 

Due to further storms and lighting increasing in the area the remainder of the meeting was abandoned prior to the running of race 10.

Race 1 – LADBROKES QUICK MULTI MAIDEN 520m

 

8 Tuckeroo Road – Shifted out and became unbalanced entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 2 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 6 520m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 3 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 (1) 600m

 

1 Deep State – Beaten Favourite. Slow to begin, checked entering the front straight, checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

7 Five Birdies – Checked on the first turn, became unbalanced on the first turn and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 4 – LADBROKES FAST PAYOUTS GRADE 5 (2) 600m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 5 – VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL (G3) SEMI-FINAL 1 MAIDEN 520m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 6 - VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL (G3) SEMI-FINAL 2 MAIDEN 520m

 

4 Malawi Rebel – Checked in the front straight, checked entering the first turn, severely checked entering the back straight, bumped with another runner on several occasions on the home turn and in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side pin injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

5 Built Right – Severely checked in the front straight, bumped with another runner on several occasions in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Stewards spoke to trainer Andy Graham regarding the greyhounds racing action in the home straight. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

 

7 Cyclone Alfie – Checked entering the first turn, severely checked entering the back straight, bumped with another runner on several occasions on the home turn and in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 7 - VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL (G3) SEMI-FINAL 3 MAIDEN 520m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 8 - ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m

 

1 Expelled – Bumped with another runner on the first turn, checked and gave ground entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the near side hind leg, the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.
