Race 1 – ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS GRADE 6 520m |
|
|
|
Jilliby Mercedes – began slowly. Raced awkwardly through the turn out of the front straight and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain to the left hip support. Jilliby Mercedes was re-examined when it was found to be lame when retrieved from it’s kennel after the completion of race 8. Upon re-examination by the on-course veterinarian it was found Jilliby Mercedes had an injury to the right hock. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. The greyhound must perform a satisfactory Stewards trial prior to nominating again. |

Summer’s Dunay – galloped on approaching the turn out of the front straight then collided with the running rail, was severely checked, and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the right hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. |

Race 6 - GARRARD'S GOLDEN OLDIES (G3) FINAL MA5 520m |
|
|
|
Vinales – tightened for room approaching the turn out of the front straight and became unbalanced, losing ground and then trailing the field. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. |
